if there is one thing i love it is mac and cheese.
this time i tried it with beer!
i attempted THREE nights in a row. and never had a chance to make it because things came up, plans changed, and i ran out of time.
so when i finally had the chance I JUMPED ON IT!
And A and i got to enjoy this incredible meal together.
It came from how sweet eats! of course right.
well there is the original recipe, but here’s mine.
beer mac and cheese (half recipe)
1 & 1/4 cup uncooked macaroni
1 tablespoon butter
1 1/2 tablespoons flour
1/2 cheddar cheese
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1/8 teaspoon paprika
1/4 cup panko bread crumbs
4 basil leaves
Preheat oven to 375.
Cook macaroni leaving off two minutes.
Heat saucepan and add butter. Once melted add flour and whisk together.
Pour in milk and beer. Keep whisking until thick.
Add cheeses until completely melted. Continue to whisk, add spices.
Pour over macaroni and mix.
Bake for 20 minutes.
