EASY CHOCOLATE PIE

When you’re craving something overloaded in chocolate and super fast you bake this incredible Easy Chocolate Pie.
This recipe is from my Aunt In Law Diane and it was given to me at my Bridal Shower as a recipe gift!
My mom and sister did something I totally loved and recommend for ALL new brides at their Bridal Shower.
Each person was asked to bring their favorite recipe written on a postcard, then they were alphabetized and put into a huge recipe book with all my favorite recipes my mom makes written on postcards as well.
It’s something I’ll keep adding to, keep forever and then hopefully pass down!
This recipe is also the official offish Angus Barn Chocolate Pie recipe that the restaurant always serves.
That means you know this is the good stuff. If you’ve ever been there it’s the best Steakhouse out there.
Everything on their menu is the most delish and dressed to the nine’s, ALF loves that place!
Let me tell you a little more about what’s actually in this Easy Chocolate Pie.
The list of ingredients is incredibly short (WIN) and the directions are even easier to follow.
Chocolate is the most important part, obviously, and it needs to be good chocolate that’s a good brand for the most flavor.
Butter is all the rest you really need to know about.
But for real, the top layer of the Easy Chocolate Pie baked until it crisped slightly and the middle layer stayed gooey and soft while decadent with lots of chocolate buttery goodness. Just looking at it makes me want it.
Serving this with ice cream will always be ALF’s choice because why not and because ice cream is the best.
Edy’s half the fat ice cream is literally the best ice cream on the planet, it’s still so creamy, soft, flavorful and also 1/2 the fat and 1/2 the calories.
UM DUH!
Or you can serve this with whipped cream, or if you’re feeling BA just do both, we don’t judge here.
And if you have neither and you don’t serve it with a dairy based cream garnish, you will be okay because this pie speaks for itself.

This was delish! I think mine was done, kinda gooey, which was fine! Please add crust to list of ingredients as when I first read recipe I thought it made its own. Luckily I had one in the freezer! Should I store in frig?

Denise,
I am so glad you enjoyed!
Thank you for catching the missing crust, it has been updated.
I stored mine in the fridge but I also think it would be fine if left at room temperature.
