If you said no, I have news for you! Cronuts are like donuts on a cloud that just rained down from Heaven. I am not joking.

A cronut is a mixture of both a croissant and donut. It is made up of layers and layers of pastry that are folded on top of each other and fried, filled with a creamy concoction and sugared.

I had my first cronut at Dunkin Donuts on AU and my first trip to DC.
I paired it with a steamy freaking hot cup of coffee (I mean why not) and I immediately scarfed it down and wanted another one.

Then the Pinteresting started… I quickly realized how time consuming and long it would take to make Cronuts in my kitchen.

Enter these beautiful delectable iced Easy Cronuts that I am sharing with you tonight.
1. these are easy, 2. these are delicious, and 3. you’re going to eat them all, trust me.

My version of a cronut is quite different from the tradiditional real one, but it’s a fried pastry stuffed with vanilla pudding and drizzled in dripping vanilla icing. If you call that a cronut or not I’ll be pretty happy.

I may or may not have burned some of these cronuts, frying things and myself don’t seem to get along too well.
I think it’s because I have literally relied on AU to fry everything in his fryer. I should have fried these in the fryer but I did them stove top and they were just as fab.

The icing glaze on these is my absolute go to, so easy, so simple but SO YUM!

There it is again… the YUM is back.

This is the same filling that I use in these Custard Slices,
those aren’t fried and they use puff pastry instead but BOY those are the bomb too.
