Ingredients

  • 3 8 OZ CREAM CHEESE, 1/3 LESS FAT SOFTENED
  • 1 TABLESPOON WORCESTERSHIRE
  • 1 TABLESPOON SEASONING SALT
  • 1 SMALL SWEET YELLOW ONION MINCED FINELY OR GRATED
  • 1 CUP SHARP CHEDDAR CHEESE SHREDDED
  • 12 OZ BACON BITS
  • BUTTERY CRACKERS MULTIGRAIN CLUB CRACKERS

Instructions

  • COMBINE SOFTENED CREAM CHEESE WITH WORCESTERSHIRE, SALT, ONION, CHEDDAR, AND 3 OZ BACON BITS. MIX UTIL SMOOTH.
  • PLACE ONE LONG PIECE OF PLASTIC WRAP DOWN ON A FLAT SURFACE (COUNTER OR TABLE) AND THEN ANOTHER LONG PIECE ON TOP TURNED 90 DEGREES. SPOON MIXTURE INTO THE MIDDLE OF WRAP AND FOLD/WRAP PLASTIC AROUND MIXTURE. FORM INTO A BALL WITH YOUR HANDS GENTLY. YOU WANT THE PLASTIC WRAP TO COVER THE ENTIRE AMOUNT OF MIXTURE.
  • PLACE PLASTIC WRAPPED CHEESE BALL IN A SMALL BOWL TO HELP FORM IT’S ROUND SHAPE. REFRIGERATE FOR 2 HOURS. REMOVE FROM FRIDGE AND REMOVE PLASTIC WRAP CAREFULLY. IT SHOULD HOLD IT'S ROUND SHAPE.
  • PLACE THE REST OF THE BACON BITS IN A SHALLOW BOWL. PLACE REFRIGERATED CHEESEBALL ON BACON BITS AND ROLL GENTLY, PRESS BACON BITS INTO SIDES AND TOP TO COVER COMPLETELY.
  • WRAP BACON CHEESE BALL IN PLASTIC USING THE SAME METHOD OF TWO PIECES OF WRAP ON A FLAT SURFACE. PLACE BACK IN ORIGINAL BOWL TO HELP FORM THE ROUND SHAPE. REFRIGERATE UNTIL FIRM AND SET, ABOUT 4 HOURS OR OVERNIGHT.
  • SERVE WITH CRACKERS, CARROTS, CELERY, BAGUETTES OR PRETZELS!
